There are so many things we could share about Dan and Miriam, from the time we first met and spent Easter on the beach in Haiti as they shared pictures and their passion for Vanga....but one incident stands out for me. When our family went to Zaire in 1995 (from Haiti) with 4 very young children, Dan and Miriam graciously packed their bags with clothes and left their home on the banks of the Kwilu River ....with all the furniture, pictures on the walls, dishes, music cassettes, books.... they gave it all up and left it for us. They then moved into a small, simply furnished house for the remainder of their time in Vanga. They were a blessing to us in so many ways, sharing their wisdom and loving care. Just too much to encapsulate in this brief note.
